Amber Hess

It was not an easy task selecting the recipient of the very first Terri Radcliffe Hunziker Memorial Scholarship.  She would set a standard for future winners.

Amber was just one of a dozen girls considered for this award.  The process was quite competitive making her selection all the more impressive.  Before making my selection I considered the feedback of numerous staff members at KPMS.   In the inaugural year I knew the importance of getting this right.

Of course, all girls considered needed to possess the qualities that embodied Terri Radcliffe Hunziker (see the criteria page).  Amber possesses these qualities.  The feedback from my colleagues was consistent.  Amber is a delight to have in class.  She works hard to produce high quality work.  Amber has a large circle of friends made up of peers and adults.  She has an infectious wit.  She is self-motivated with goals that represent a young girl whose scope is keenly sighted on a successful future in high school, post secondary education and beyond.  Congratulations Amber for receiving the first Terri Radcliffe Hunziker Memorial Scholarship.
